Terms of Use
Article 1 – Definitions
In these terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:

Pilates Society: the business registered with the Chamber of Commerce under the name Braaf, located at Onderlangs 28, 2991 EM Barendrecht, hereinafter referred to as “the studio.”

Participant: any natural person who participates in or registers for a class, workshop, event, or other offering of the studio.

Agreement: any agreement between the studio and the participant regarding participation in classes, workshops, or events.

Classes: all group classes, private lessons, duo lessons, workshops, and other activities organised by the studio.
Article 2 – Applicability

These terms and conditions apply to all classes, workshops, events, and other services offered by the studio.

By registering for or participating in a class, the participant acknowledges that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
Article 3 – Registration and Payment

Registration for classes and workshops takes place via the studio’s online booking system.

Payment must be made prior to the class, membership, or class package.
-
An agreement is concluded once registration is confirmed by the studio and payment has been received.
Article 4 – Memberships and Class Packages

The studio offers various types of memberships and class packages.
-
Memberships have a one-month notice period unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Class packages are personal and non-transferable.

The validity period of a class package is stated at the time of purchase. Any remaining credits expire after this period.
Article 5 – Cancellation

A booked class can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the start of the class.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the class will result in the credit being forfeited, and no refund will be issued.

The studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes. In such cases, the credit will be automatically restored.
Article 6 – Studio and Safety

The studio is responsible for the maintenance, safety, and proper functioning of all equipment, materials, and facilities used during classes.

Any damage to equipment, materials, or the studio caused by participants is the responsibility of the studio.

The studio ensures that the space and materials comply with applicable safety and hygiene regulations.
Article 7 – Liability

Participation in classes is at the participant’s own risk.

The studio is not liable for injury, loss, or damage to participants’ personal belongings, unless caused intentionally or through gross negligence by the studio.

Participants are responsible for assessing their own physical and mental capabilities.
Article 8 – Conduct and Respect

The studio is a women-only environment. Men do not have access to the studio.

Participants must treat each other with respect and respect each other’s privacy.
-
Consideration is always given to women who wear a headscarf.
-
The studio reserves the right to refuse or terminate participation in the event of inappropriate behaviour.
Article 9 – Illness and Absence
In case of illness or inability to attend, participants must cancel no later than 24 hours before the class via the booking system or by email.
Article 10 – Personal Data
The studio processes personal data in accordance with applicable privacy legislation (GDPR).

Article 11 – Force Majeure
The studio is not obliged to fulfil any obligation if prevented from doing so due to force majeure, including circumstances beyond its control, such as pandemics, government measures, or technical failures.
Article 12 – Applicable Law
All agreements between the studio and the participant are governed exclusively by Dutch law.
Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the district where the studio is located.
